Definition
Sexual consent is the agreement given to one’s partner during sexual activity (kissing, touching, sexual acts). Sexual consent must be given in a free, informed and enthusiastic manner. The situation must be such that the withdrawal of consent is possible at any time. It can be expressed verbally or non-verbally. If the person does not say anything, or is not able to refuse, there is no consent. In addition, kissing or fondling a person does not mean that he or she consents to other sexual acts. It must be renewed with each sexual act.
If a person refuses to participate in sexual activity with another person and is forced to do so, this is sexual assault. No one has the right to force sex on another person against their will.
To freeze is not to consent
