Promoting prevention and awareness is a primary focus for CALACS de L’Est du BSL in order to act upstream against sexual assault, to help victims and their loved ones seek help and to raise public awareness. We have developed thematic workshops, training and communication tools.
They aim to dispel myths and misconceptions, identify sexist stereotypes, while highlighting the vulnerability created by cross-discriminations of sexism, heterosexism, racism, classism, ageism and ableism among adolescents, women and members of the LGBTQ2+ community.
We offer awareness and prevention workshops for youth in schools (high school) and for adults in organizational and educational settings.
